After an impressive 4-0 week, Clemson Baseball has surged into the top five of the national rankings, solidifying its position as a powerhouse in the 2025 season. The Tigers now sit at No. 4 in D1Baseball (ranked No.6 last week), No. 5 in Baseball America (ranked No.7 last week), and an impressive No. 3 in Perfect Game USA’s latest rankings in which they were ranked No.4 last week's rankings.
Baseball America’s Scouting Report
“Clemson breaks into the top five in the wake of a 4-0 week in which it defeated Georgia Southern and picked up a hard-fought sweep over California. The seventh inning was the “magic inning” for the Tigers this weekend, as on both Friday and Sunday it scored the game-winning run in their half of the frame. Dominic Listi’s two-run double was the difference-maker in the series-opener, while in the finale Luke Gaffney came through with a go-ahead sac-fly. Clemson’s bullpen was nails all weekend, and four arms combined to throw 6.1 shutout innings. The Tigers return home this week to take on Gardner-Webb before a series against a reeling Stanford.”
Now, Clemson turns its attention to a pivotal week at home. The Tigers will host Gardner-Webb on Wednesday before welcoming Stanford for a weekend series. The Cardinal have struggled as of late, providing Clemson an opportunity to build on its momentum and further cement its status among the nation’s elite.
The Tigers will look to keep rolling as they return to Doug Kingsmore Stadium for another crucial stretch.
