Coming off a Palmetto Series sweep over the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Clemson Tigers baseball team is on fire, rolling through 11 games to start the season, with a record of 10-1. Clemson went 4-0 this past week, first defeating the Winthrop Eagles 20-7 on Tuesday, then capping it off with the dominant Palmetto Series sweep.
In this week's edition of the college baseball rankings across the three major polls, Clemson saw significant movement:
đș Tigers jumped three spots this week, moving from No. 7 to No. 4 in the rankings.
đč This is Clemsonâs highest ranking of the season so far, and it will be the one reflected here on our site.
đș Clemson climbed three spots, going from No. 8 to No. 5 in this weekâs poll.
đč Standout performances over the past week observed by Baseball America:
Cam Cannarella went 5-for-13 with a double and six runs scored.
Collin Priest hit 4-for-13 with two home runs, leading the team.
Pitching dominance: Led by Ethan Dardenâs seven shutout frames, Clemsonâs starting pitchers combined for 17.2 innings, 17 strikeouts, and only three earned runs allowed over the weekend.
đș Clemson moved up two spots, from No. 13 to No. 11 this week.
