The Clemson Tigers Women’s Lacrosse team has made a remarkable leap, breaking into the Top 7 across all three major polls. This achievement follows their impressive road victory over the fifth-ranked Syracuse Orange, marking the highest-ranked win in program history.
A key factor in the Tigers’ success was their dominance in draw controls. With a staggering 17-4 advantage, they controlled the pace of the game and dictated its outcome. The Tigers continue their historic run, maintaining an exceptional start to the season. This victory also marks the second consecutive week in which Clemson has secured a Top 25 road win, further solidifying their status as a formidable force in women’s lacrosse.
Adding to their offensive firepower, four players have already reached double-digit goals this season:
Kayla MacLeod – 17 goals
Lexi Edmonds – 15 goals
Lindsey Marshall – 13 goals
Natalie Shurtleff – 10 goals
This Week’s Rankings: Top 7
IWLCA: No. 6
IL Women: No. 7
USA Lacrosse Magazine: No. 7
The Tigers will be back home this week for two matches at the Clemson Lacrosse Complex. They take on Queens tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Then, on Saturday, the Duke Blue Devils visit for an ACC showdown. That match is set for 12:00 p.m. EST and will also be Military Appreciation Day.
Be sure to arrive early and secure your seats!
