Brad Brownell and the Clemson Tigers have secured yet another key addition to the team through the transfer portal. After adding UAB guard Efrem Johnson to the team last night, Utah forward Jake Wahlin committed to Clemson earlier today, according to On3 Sports. This is the fourth forward that the Tigers have signed from the transfer portal after reaching agreements with Nick Davidson, Carter Welling, and RJ Godfrey.

Jake Wahlin averaged 6.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists per game and shot 46.7% from the field this past season. After only averaging six minutes of playing time with Utah in his freshman year, Wahlin became a key part of the Utes team in his sophomore season, playing 23.4 minutes per game. The 6’10 forward from Provo, Utah brings two years of eligibility to Clemson.

With Clemson’s entire frontcourt leaving this offseason, Brad Brownell is rebuilding his big men for next year. Jake Wahlin adds Big 12 basketball experience and could be a key part of Clemson’s next two seasons.
