Clemson fans received an early Christmas gift as standout linebacker Wade Woodaz announced he will return for the 2025 season. Woodaz, who has been a critical piece of the Tigers’ defense the past couple of seasons, made his decision public via X on Tuesday morning, posting a gif of Arnold Schwarzenegger saying “I’ll be back.”

Woodaz has been a dynamic playmaker for the Tigers, showcasing his versatility as both a run-stopper and a pass defender. The 6’3”, 235-pound linebacker recorded 82 total tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles, and one interception this season, earning him recognition as one of the most dominant defensive players in the ACC.

The return of Woodaz is a major boost for the Clemson defense heading into 2025. As a veteran leader and proven playmaker, he will serve as the anchor of the linebacker corps, providing experience to a unit aiming to remain among the nation’s best.
